FIELD: mechanical working of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: to improve polishing quality of parts (bodies of revolution), lobes are deformed in front of working zone by means of lubricating and cooling auxiliary facility. The latter is represented by roller coated with liquid working medium in which abrasive elements are immersed. Roller is mounted for free rotation about axis parallel to wheel axis. Then it is cooled, as a result of which medium becomes solid, and abrasive elements are bound rigidly. Roller width is selected to be larger than wheel width. When coming in contact with lubricating and cooling auxiliary facility, lobes restore their cutting capability. They are coated with working medium and deformed uniformly.
