FIELD: transport engineering; passive safety devices. SUBSTANCE: passenger safety system gas bag consists of several section 7, 6, 4 of cloth differing in gas permeability. All sections 7, 6, 4 of cloth of gas bag can be made of cloth of similar properties, in particular, with the same thread density. Gas permeability of cloths is regulated with due account of ratio of stresses between main threads and weft threads in inflated gas bag and dynamic character of change of gas permeability depending on cloth weaving and shrinkage. Cloth sections with similar properties can be connected by seam in serial production. Seams feature high strength of structure. EFFECT: improved safety of passenger inroad accidents. 8 cl, 9 dwg
