FIELD: technology of polymers. SUBSTANCE: freshly formed polyvinylalcohol fiber is treated with an aqueous solution of sodium perborate salts mixture at concentration 7.5-10.0 g/l and calcium chloride at concentration 2.0-4.0 g/l. Then fiber is pressed out and dried in air. Product is used for making articles of hygiene purpose exhibiting high moisture absorption. EFFECT: improved method of treatment. 1 tbl
