FIELD: medicinal microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method involves intravenous immunization of rabbits with a single dose of strain Brucella abortus-544 (1.8-2.0 x $$$ CFU/1 ml physiological solution) or Brucella melintensis-28 (2.8-3.0 x $$$ CFU/1 ml) that provides increase of sensitivity of monospecific sera by 2-4-fold, respectively. Animals were bled in 5-7 days, sera were inactivated at 60-65 C for 1-1.5 h followed by cross-over absorption of serum with B. melitensis-28 and B. abortus-544 biomass, respectively. Biomass is cultured for 70-72 h, centrifuged, cooled for 24-26 h and diluted with physiological solution at concentration of absorbing bacterial mass in 3.5-3.7 x $$$ CFU/10 ml serum followed by addition of phenol to ready serum and package. EFFECT: improved method of serum preparing.
