FIELD: microbiology, biotechnology, medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing preparations used for brucellosis diagnosis. Vaccine strain Brucella abortus-19 is cultured on the solid nutrient medium, the grown culture is washed off with citrate buffer (pH 5.3-5.5) and bacterial cells are inactivated by heating. Then the suspension of inactivated bacteria is resuspended with 12% sodium chloride solution to final concentration 2 x 1010 CFU/ml and dye methylene blue and preserving agent phenol are added. Obtained diagnosticum is used in serological agglutination reactions by Right and Heddlsone. EFFECT: decreased number of nonspecific serological reactions in brucellosis diagnosis, retained high sensitivity. 1 ex
