FIELD: lubricating materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes using non-processed oil produced on hydrocracking installation as starting material for producing high-quality lubricating base oils. A part or all amount of non-processed oil from hydrocracking installation is continuously transferred into the second vacuum distillation installation on which all types of raw materials for lubricating base oils with desired viscosity characteristics are produced. On this installation, undesired polycyclic aromatic compounds and heavy difficultly cracked hydrocarbons are removed to avoid their accumulation in recycled oil stream which would lead to rapid poisoning of catalyst functioning and worsening of selectivity of products fed into hydrocracking installation in recycling mode.
