FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of treating hydrocarbon feedstock in which the sulphur content is at least 0.5% by weight, the initial boiling point is at least 340°C, and the final boiling point is at least 440°C, enables to produce at least one liquid hydrocarbon fraction with sulphur content of less than or equal to 0.5% by weight, and comprises the following successive steps a) fixed-bed hydrotreatment, where hydrocarbon feedstock and hydrogen are brought into contact on at least one hydrotreatment catalyst, b) separating the stream obtained from the outlet of the hydrotreating step (a) into at least one light fraction and at least one heavy fraction, c) hydroconversion of at least a portion of the heavy fraction of the stream coming from step (b) in at least one reactor in a fluidised bed state containing a maintained catalyst , and d) separating the stream from step (c) to produce at least one gas fraction and at least one liquid hydrocarbon fraction, where the hydrotreatment step (a) comprises a first hydrodemetallisation (HDM) step (a1) carried out in one or more fixed bed hydrodemetallisation zones, and a subsequent hydrodesulphurisation (HDS) step (a2) carried out in one or more fixed bed hydrodesulphurisation zones.
EFFECT: invention relates to a process for treating heavy oil feedstock for producing liquid fuel and low sulphur fuel oil bases, preferably bunker fuel and bunker fuel bases.
