FIELD: mechanical engineering; locking devices. SUBSTANCE: body of cylindrical locking mechanism is made in the form of sleeve which accommodates cylinder with passage for key body. Free space between cylinder and body is filled with movable and stationary rings which have radial slot. Stationary rings are provided with outer protrusion which enters longitudinal groove in body wall. Made in cylinder surface is longitudinal groove of gradually reducing depth over groove width. Similar groove is made in body wall in parallel to aforesaid groove and opposite to it. Made between two grooves in each movable ring is rectangular slot in which disk is seated and its diameter is larger than thickness $$$ of movable disk. Key to cylindrical locking mechanism is made in the form of strip with protrusions for radial slots in movable rings. EFFECT: high efficiency. 6 dwg
