FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: rotary internal combustion engine has fixed housing with inner curvilinear oval shape surface, intake and outlet ports located in housing and pistons installed for displacement along outer surface of skeleton and inner surface of housing. Variable volume chambers limited by seals are formed between pistons and housing. Distance between seals and curvilinear inner surface of housing is selected to provide constant contact with inner surface of housing and contact of piston surface with outer surface of rotor skeleton. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 1 dwg
