FIELD: measurement technology, optical measurement aids. SUBSTANCE: at least two light planes 2 and 2 illuminating examined part 1 in specified section are formed, geometric parameters of image of traces 3.3 of mentioned planes on various sections of surface 7 of part are observed , recorded and used to determine geometric parameters of these sections of surface. Collimated light beam is formed and used to illuminate part 1 in direction perpendicular to specified section, geometric parameters of shadow image of part are observed and recorded. Geometric parameters of relative positions of sections of surface of part are found by results of their analysis. Device for implementation of method has computer ensuring control and processing of results. EFFECT: increased authenticity and efficiency of method and device. 7 cl, 7 dwg
