FIELD: method and system for controlling weather conditions in predetermined regions, in particular, provision for horizontal and vertical wind shifts and air flows in atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: method involves continuously directing vertical ion flows through atmospheric air body for 3-120 hours practically at any weather conditions. The greater is duration of action, the more efficient and vast are changes in atmosphere. Dynamic parameters of air stream flow formed by main ionic flow are controlled by means of auxiliary units creating additional vertical ion flows. Process is controlled by space observation apparatuses, such as meteorological satellites and control center for communication with satellites and ion flow generating units. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 3 dwg
