SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of meteorology and agriculture, and can be used for action on the thermal cyclone in order to increase the amount of rainfall. In the zone of the thermal cyclone a sector is isolated, which is bounded on the north with the line corresponding to the direction from the center of the cyclone to the east. From the west the sector is restricted by the line corresponding to the direction from the center of the cyclone to the south-west. In this sector the area of low atmospheric pressure is formed by upflow flow of ionised air. The device for implementation of the method comprises the ion generator and is provided with a reflector. The reflector is made in the form of a tubular structure of the metallic mesh. The ion generator is located inside the grounded reflector. The ion generator can be provided with the air humidifier located under it. The air humidifier can be made in the form of a steam generator.

EFFECT: narrowing the flow of ionised air is provided, as well as the increase in the concentration of ions in it, the increase in flow rate, reduction of its dependence on the wind and thereby the rise of ionised air at high altitude is ensured.
