FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out complex evaluation of plantation by six-point scale to separate low-value and valuable plants as compared to reference and most valuable ones on the basis of known features plus biological age set by nine age stages of tree stock ranging from young trees to overmature age of natural maturity; performing reconstruction depending on determined value level of low-value plants, their forestry characteristics, steadiness and other parameters. Reconstruction is effectuated in lands rated by their area and other parameters on the base of four main methods and related reconstruction types. Large area lands or groups of lands are reconstructed in plots rated in stage-by-stage way, with direct joining time being equal to 2-3-stage reconstruction frequency period for related kinds of plants to be regenerated. Reconstruction time for vast lands is accelerated by reducing the number of stages to 3-5. Rated reconstruction lands are simultaneously laid in spaced relation one with respect to the other, with space being equal to their double or triple width. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of reconstructed plants. 10 cl
