ANALGETIC ANIPYRETIC AGENT AND METHOD OF ITS PREPARING Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: analgetic antipyretic agent has the following components, wt.-%: acetylsalicylic acid, 41.4-45.8; paracetamol, 31.1-33.3; caffeine, 4.7-6.0; cacao, 1.4-4.1; starch, 10-15; citric acid, 0.4-1.8; talc, 0.5-0.95, and calcium stearate, 0.5-1.0. Proposed agent is used at catarrhal diseases, head-ache and neuralgia. Method of preparing this agent involves raw preparing, mass making for tabletting by mixing components, their wetting, wet granulation, drying tablet mass, dry granulation, powdering and tabletting. Mass for tabletting is prepared by successive mixing acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, starch part, cacao part and wetting of obtained mass with a mixture of starch filling with citric acid (0.5-1.2 and 0.4-1.8 wt.-%, respectively, as measured for dry substances) and at ratio wetting agent : mass to be wetted = (1: 5)-(1: 7), respectively. Tablet mass is dried at 40-45 C and powdering is carried out in mixer where caffeine, cacao, talc and calcium stearate are loaded.
