FIELD: electromechanical threshold-action inertial sensors. SUBSTANCE: inertia switch has case accommodating permanent magnet, open-circuit contact pair with movable contact in the form of flexible bracket secured on permanent-magnet side, spherical inertia body held in initial position due to magnetic attraction force and mounted for displacement both along bracket and in direction of its crosswise bending. Elastic damping strip is secured on path of inertia body travel at angle ϕ0 to bracket surface for increasing this angle during inertia body travel. Angle ϕ0 is chosen within the range of 90o > ϕ0 ≥ 2arctg(R/ls); relationship between elastic bending characteristics of bracket and damping strip is to satisfy condition Fcmin > 0,5na•m•sin(2ϕ0+2Δϕ), where ϕ0 is initial angle between bracket and plate; R is inertia body radius; ls is length of strip; Fcmin is minimal force of contact closure; na is acceleration along bracket within desired range; m is inertia body mass; Δϕ is angle of inclination increased due to inertial force.
