FIELD: metallurgy; waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: inorganic solid wastes are treated in metal fusion located in tank 3, in which there are a free space above fusion and discharge channel 11 for effluent gases. Wastes are blown in into the fusion to form zone 13 where primary waste-fusion reaction takes place or where wastes undergo phase transformation to form more easily reducible or removable products. Method also includes blowing in oxygen-containing gas toward fusion surface to form zone 17 where secondary reaction occurs in a part of space above the fusion, through which oxidizable products escaping zone 13 for primary reaction pass in direction to discharge channel 11 in tank 3. In this zone, oxidizable products are oxidized and evolved heat is transferred into the fusion. EFFECT: optimized reaction conditions. 15 cl, 1 dwg
