FIELD: beet-sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has body with bottom and charging and discharging bins for cossettes; steam chamber located under bottom and transporting device for cossettes which consists of radially arranged plate scrapers. Located above body is chamber with cover. Chamber contains scalding liquid and cossettes distributor. Concentrically secured inside chamber are partitions to form bent and intercommunicating channels for provision of uniform turbulent motion of scalding liquid. Design of the apparatus increases the time of contact of cossettes with scalding liquid without local overheating to ensure more effective extraction. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
