FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is heater beet chips, consisting of intake bin, sluice feeder, screw device, coupling, gear motor, sluice gate, shaft and blades. Chips are heated by a jet ejector installed coaxially to the shaft of the screw device on the end side of the chip supply, which includes a coaxially located external cylindrical receiving chamber with upper radial air supply branch pipe, internal working chamber with an axial branch pipe for supplying live steam through a conical diffuser and a nozzle, which is mounted in inner shaft coaxially installed with screw device. Ejector has a lower radial branch pipe for discharging a part of live steam into a heat-insulated heating chamber, closed by a lower casing, located in the lower part along the length of the screw device and having a condensate drain pipe, and in the upper part along the length of the screw device there is a heat-insulated cooling chamber, which is closed by the upper casing with installed in it branch pipes for inlet and outlet of circulating water. Supply of steam-air mixture into screw device with chips is performed through gaps formed between turns of wire spiral winding on external generatrix of internal shaft.
EFFECT: invention provides uniform heating of beet chips, as well as simplified design of the apparatus.
