FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to measure parameters of noise emission of low-noise objects. Characteristic feature of method consists in formation of acoustic channel in the form of zone with increased temperature of liquid along its boundaries between tested underwater object and hydroacoustic receiver along route of passage of acoustic waves. Such acoustic channel can be formed in natural pond with the use of pulse laser beam with ring-like distribution of intensity of laser radiation across section.
