FIELD: detection of low-noise underwater target in natural pond. SUBSTANCE: acoustic line channel in the form of hollow conical or cylindrical surface presenting liquid overheated relative to background is formed in pond with the aid of laser beam partially absorbed by liquid. Noise radiation from underwater target passes along acoustic line channel to hydrophone practically without attenuation. Scanning of laser beam makes it possible to detect and track low-noise target under passive mode. EFFECT: enhanced functional efficiency of proposed hydrophone. 5 cl, 5 dwg
