FIELD: regeneration of waste materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes chemical reduction, in fact, all reducible toxic and potentially harmful metal-containing components of wastes which are supplied into bath of molten metal including the first reducer which under working conditions of molten metal in bath chemically reduces metal of metal-containing component with formation of soluble intermediate compound. The second reducer is supplied to bath of molten metal to chemically reduce the metal of soluble intermediate compound. Rate with which the second reducer is supplied to bath of molten metal as compared with the rate of supply of waste component to bath of molten metal is enough for dissolving in bath of molten metal, in fact, of all formed metal-containing intermediate compound and, as a result, indirect chemical reduction of waste component is effected. This technology ensures regeneration of various materials including ash of metal-containing household wastes, glassy slag-like materials and spent metal catalysts. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 31 cl, 1 dwg
