FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy field, and provided for direct continuous production of steel from non-lumped ore, iron-ore concentrates, iron-containing wastes. United reaction space forms melting - reducing subspace with layer of molten slag, refining subspace with layer of refined metal, located under layer of molten slag, and intermediate layer "slag - refined metal - gas" between defined layers. Iron-bearing material, including alloying and water-reducing admixture, oxygen-containing wind and solid carbonic fuel is uninterruptedly fed to layer of molten slag. Providing in intermediate layer turbulent-diffusion transfer of iron oxides and drops of reduced metal, containing in slag layer, into intermediate layer and layer of refined metal. At that it is provided interaction of oxygen, escaping at ferric oxide dissociation, and fed from without oxygen stream and/or oxygen-containing gas and/or its mixture, with carbon, and providing of simultaneous behavior of refinement process in intermediate and refining layers.

EFFECT: providing of steel direct receiving with containing of carbon 0,2-2,0% and apparent contaminant capacity in united reaction space.
