FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns receiving of metallic iron and slag by melting of initial material for receiving of iron in reactor, containing melted bath with slaggy phase, with usage of injection into slug of fuel/ reductant and gas, containing oxygen, by the instrumentality of as a minimum one upper submersible tuyer, with providing of usage advancing of heat energy. Initial material is fed to reducing zone of reactor or into zone adjoined to it, with additional reductant and flux for melting and reduction with forming of hot gases, consisting of CO and H2. Speed of gas injection, containing oxygen, and fuel/ reductant by means at least one tuyer, are controlled for creation of conditions enough for reduction. Control is implemented so that, in the issue, content of injected gas, containing oxygen, in amount from preliminary 40% of volume till preliminary 100% of volume, is enough for providing of combustion grade higher than 60% of volume of fuel/ reductant, injected at least by one tuyer. In reactor above the bath it is implemented afterburning of gases, formed during the process of melting.
EFFECT: providing of advanced usage of heat energy.
