FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: in furnace with inclined bottom and benched crown as heating source of charge materials are main and auxiliary plasmatrones. Each main plasmatron is outfitted by unit (20) of introduction of fine material. Located in end wall of furnace plasmatrones (21) are provided for transportation of fine iron-bearing material. Plasmatrons (22), installed in side walls are provided for feeding of hard carbon-bearing material. Discharge of metal and dross is implemented by separated notches of different sections, each of which contains two chambers. In cover of the first chamber of metal discharge section it is installed auxiliary plasmatron, and in covering of the first chamber of dross discharge sections it is installed gas burner or plasmatron. On bottom stage of crown there are located feeding unit of initial material, auxiliary plasmatrons and nozzles for feeding of oxygen-containing gas.

EFFECT: continuous production cycle of steel and reduction of discharge into atmosphere, improving ecology.
