FIELD: production of material from linen filament and articles with antimicrobial properties. SUBSTANCE: textile material is made in the form of whitened fabric of chemically refined linen filament containing 95-99% by weight of cellulose with weight ratio of amorphous and mesamorphous phases of 1:(2.0-2.5), respectively. Microbiological properties of material: total number of bacteria and fungi on human body upon wearing of clothes made from such material by user is 1,500 versus 6,000 and 0 versus 20 as compared to clothes from known material. EFFECT: increased antimicrobial effect, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in wearing. 1 tbl
