FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technology controlling technical condition of underwater craft directly in full-scale basin remote from coastal bases and hydroacoustic measurement grounds. Proposed procedure includes recording of level of pressure of noise making by operational measuring aid with pointed directivity characteristic followed by processing of measurement information recorded by measuring aid. Operational measuring aid comes in the form of one or two hydrophones mounted on underwater object proper. Parameters of noise making by underwater object are controlled by way of recording of level of pressure of noise making reflected from sound reflecting surface naturally present in full-scale basin. Water surface of full-scale basin, layer of temperature jump, bottom of full-scale basin, ice covering full-scale basin, surface of underwater rock or surface of iceberg can be employed in the capacity of above-mention surface. EFFECT: possibility of control over parameters of noise making by underwater object directly in full-scale basin without return of object to coastal bases. 11 cl, 1 dwg
