WATER-DISPERSIBLE TABLETS, METHOD FOR THERI PREPARING, AND GRANULES AND DISPERSING AGENT FOR THEIR PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2106861 C1

FIELD: pharmaceutics. SUBSTANCE: water-dispersible tablets are formed of granules having following composition, wt.-%: pharmaceutically active compound, 5-25; pharmaceutically acceptable swellable clay, 0.25-60; various additives and adjuvants, the balance. Active compound is selected from group consisting of analgetically active propionic acid derivative, tranquilizing benzodiazepine, antiviral nucleoside derivative, naphtoquinone compound active against protozan organisms, allopurinol, oxopurinol, anticonvulsively active 1,2,4-triazine derivative, trimethoprim and trimethoprim in combination with sulphomethoxazole. Swellable clay acts as dispersing agent and is contained inside granules constituting tablet. It takes only 3 min to disperse tablet in water. Dispersion thus-formed consists of particles having size below 710 mcm. It is preferable that active compound be acyclovir or lamotrygin. Swellable clay is selected from group consisting of attapulgite, smectite, bentonite or clay sold in market under trade name VEEGUM F. Tablet may be coated with film, and in this case it takes about 2 min to disperse it. EFFECT: effective method for producing quickly dispersible medicinal tablets. 44 cl, 16 tbl
