METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COLLECTING OIL AND ITS PRODUCTS FROM UNDER ICE COVER OF RUNNING-WATER BASIN, PRIMARILY OF RIVER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: environment control technology. SUBSTANCE: according to method, collection of oil for localization of contaminating slick of oil or oil product is achieved initially by cutting ice-hole in ice cover upstream as to river water current. Then, positioning of boom-type inflated barrier is started by arranging one line of boom-type barrier across river, and after that two side lines are positioned with creation of enclosed triangular contour, with further injection inside it of hot air or gas. Collection of oil or petroleum product is effected in lower corner of thus formed triangular contour relative to direction of river stream. After removing oil or its product from localized area of river surface, delivery of hot air or gas is discontinued, air is partly released from side lines of inflated boom-type barrier and it is carried downstream as to river stream direction. Then, injection of air is started into side lines of boom-type barrier and delivery of hot water and gas is initiated. Device is provided with winches installed on ice surface, inflated boom-type barrier, oil receiver and oil collector connected to pump by flexible hose. Collector and receiver are provided with air venting siphon ended in outlet pipeline communicating with atmosphere. Also provided is pipeline with longitudinal slot which is connected to source of hot air or gas, and it has float. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 4 dwg
