FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection and can be used in oil spills (oil products) under ice cover mainly of Arctic water bodies. Disclosed is a method of collecting oil or oil product from under ice cover of a water body, including localisation of oil or oil product stain and further removal of oil or oil product by pumping in into an oil receiver. In area of localisation of oil or oil product stain under ice cover is supplied at least one pontoon, which is inflated with air in amount sufficient to create lift, sufficient for lifting and deformation of ice cover to form a dome in area of oil or oil product stain localisation, providing for collection of oil or oil product, located between surface of water and ice cover. Device for implementing method is disclosed.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of collecting oil 1,8 to 2,6 times and reducing labour input 4-6 times.
