FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to equipment installed in oil and gas wells. It prevents destruction of flexible seal of packer at its delivery to place of installing. Device has ring of trapezoidal cross-section which is made of flexible material and is installed on packer barrel for possible interaction of its side walls with packer stops. Flexible member is reinforced by flexible spacing member and restricting members. Restricting members replicate incline angle of aforesaid side walls and are made in the form of metal strips in the shape of truncated sectors. Their arc of circumference is described by radius which is smaller than radius of inner wall of pipe being sealed. This arc is smaller than radius by value of critical clearance for given type of flexible material. This ensures operability of flexible material. Side walls of sealing member are positioned at incline. Metal strips are placed so as to overlap cross-section of sealing member. They are connected by their peripheral part to middle part of spacing flexible member by means of rigid links with pivoted joints. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
