FIELD: applicable in metallurgical tank heated by direct current, in particular, in production of ferroalloys. SUBSTANCE: device has a bottom made of conducting refractory material on the side of the furnace inner space under the refractory lateral wall of the metallurgical tank having a metal casing. Periphery of the conducting bottom is enveloped by metal plates that are connected to current-conducting rods passing through the furnace metal casing and projecting from the furnace tank. These plates, the current-conducting rods inclusive, are separated from the metal casing by electric insulation. EFFECT: maximized surface of electrical contact. 11 cl, 2 dwg
