FIELD: nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: disturbance sources are sequentially shifted in preselected quasi-separated core-division regions. Neutron field response in each region is described by physically adequate function whose parameters are found from conditions of its approximation of dependence of experimentally obtained relative variations in sensor signals as function of distance to disturbance source. Value of local subcriticality is found for each division region from response function parameters and relationship between them and material parameter of reactor medium and neutron breeding coefficient. Subcriticality of reactor as a whole is estimated by region of minimal local subcriticality. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 cl
