SUBSTANCE: gear prevents squeezing out of molten through open side of vertical clearance between two horizontal members in which capacity two rolls with opposite rotation are used for continuous casting of strip. Gear has electricity conducting means for formation of first horizontal magnetic field near open side of clearance and additional electricity conducting means for formation of additional horizontal magnetic field. Method includes formation of first and additional horizontal magnetic fields with reference to molten metal.
