FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically oxygen-converter production of steel. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes pouring of liquid iron into converter, charging of solid oxidizer and carbon-containing material with their ratio of 1:(0.10- 0.25):(0.015-0.075), respectively. After that, bath is agitated with mixture of neutral gas with oxygen in ratio of 1:(0.15-0.25) for 20-25% of total duration of heat. Consumption of mixture amounts to 100-150% of nominal intensity of oxygen blowing. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
