GAS CLEANER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: devices for separation of moisture, oil, water-and-oil emulsion and dust in gas-conditioning systems in pipe lines running from compressors and ventilators to consumers. SUBSTANCE: cleaner includes housing with gas supply and discharge branch pipes, swirler, separation chamber and drain hole. It also includes recirculation tube, discharge passage, discharge cock, slotted traps and circular trap. Tangential swirler made in form of slit is located in wall of separation chamber. Recirculation tube is located in rarefaction area of swirler. Slotted traps are made in form of skew slots in wall of separation chamber. Circular trap made in form of ring is located between wall and housing of separation chamber. Discharge passage is made in wall of separation chamber on side of swirler. Discharge cock is mounted on housing of separation chamber on side of discharge passage. EFFECT: high quality of cleaning; enhanced reliability and wide range of operating conditions. 3 dwg
