FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has two elastic branches 1 and 2 joined in non-working part and having knurl on internal end surfaces. Branch 1 has the first jaw produced as triangle with sharp apex 5 and sharp side edges set in perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The second jaw produced as trapezoid projection is at the end of branch 2 in front of base of the first jaw. The projection is one length of sharp part of the first jaw triangle shorter. Sharp point 5 cuts capsule 6 at segment 7 where initial rupture 8 of film of capsule 6 is produced. Then the film is torn and, next to it, cut-out flap 10 is removed from the eye. EFFECT: improved quality of operation. 3 cl, 6 dwg
