FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: device has winding head and cylindrical housing of spindle installed on winding head for simultaneous rotation around axes arranged at angle of 45 degrees relative to each other. One axis coincides with longitudinal axis of spindle and the other coincides with axis of winding head. To improve ball winding, two flanges are installed on spindle housing. Flanges are made in form of truncated cones and are provided with device for fixing them at preset distance relative to each other. One flange is rigidly secured at root of spindle housing and the other is mounted in zone of vertex of spindle housing for synchronous rotation with spindle housing and for removal at stopping. Angle between generating lines of flange conical surfaces and longitudinal axis of spring housing is within 43 and 47 degrees. Device for fixing the flanges at preset distance relative to each other is furnished with spring detent one end of which is rigidly coupled with spindle housing and the other is secured on carrier freely fitted in longitudinal slots of spindle housing and rigidly coupled with conical flange arranged in zone of spindle vertex.
