FIELD: yarn manufacture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has feeding frame, bobbin forming unit and twisting tool made in the form of conical spindle with axial channel open toward conical side surface. Pair of feeding conical pins with thread guide are positioned opposite axial channel outlet end. Thread guide is positioned in front of conical pins for reversal along their axes. Core thread exits from spindle axial channel onto its side surface. Sheathing thread is cross wound on conical surface in overlapping relation to core thread to provide for reliable contact of two systems of threads. Thread coils are unobstructedly removed from cone in direction of its bent top preventing thread coils from being unintentionally shifted from cone. Such construction allows shaped yarn to be tightened and twisted portions to be fixed on cone-discharge pair portion. The effect of shaped yarn is created by cross winding of sheathing yarn coils on core thread. Small sizes and minimum weight of rotating spindle with axial channel allow twisted product discharge speed to reach at least 150 min at twisting rate of at least 600 m-1.
