FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: rotational viscosimeter has cylindrical chamber rigidly fixed and filled with analyzed liquid into which sensing element made fast to squirrel-cage rotor of asynchronous motor is submerged and system measuring rotational period. Rotor and sensing element are anchored with the help of electromagnetic suspension which core has conical butt part. Rotor is manufactured in the form of thin-wall cylinder from conductive nonferromagnetic material. Technical result of invention lies in increased accuracy and sensitivity while investigating both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, in widened range of measured viscosities and in design of devices for both continuous action and for laboratory investigations.
