FIELD: quantum electronics, specifically gaseous-discharge CO lasers generating radiation from transitions of first oscillatory overtone, development of technological lasers. SUBSTANCE: technical result of given invention consists in increased efficiency of generation of radiation on first oscillatory overtone which is achieved thanks to realization of maximum possible broadband generation band of frequencies of transitions of first oscillatory overtone with suppression of generation on main frequency owing to usage of selective absorber with absorption not less than 2% in spectral range 2.7-4.0 $$$ in resonator.
