FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has rail electrodes which are connected to power supply, armature which is located between rails and is designed as packet of joined current-conducting layers, which planes are directed towards movement and are located at obtuse angle with respect to contact surfaces of rails. Conductance of both layers differs by at least one order of magnitude. Specific electric resistance of layer with lesser conductance is greater than specific electric resistance of electrodes. EFFECT: increased speed of projection, increased efficiency, increased service life, uniform current distribution in armature. 4 cl, 1 dwg
