SUBSTANCE: electrodes are proposed to be shaped so as to ensure that length of their effective Ernest-profile section complied in width with electrode clearance d0. Electrode sections having rounding radius of 1.3d0 and width of 0,75d0 are abutting against mentioned effective section along tangential line on both ends. Peripheral effective sections are joined with preceding ones before rounding electrode at curvature radius of 0,3d0. Rear surface abutting against peripheral effective section of electrode has curvature radius of 0,1d0. Effective section of electrodes may be provided with hollow area covered with metal net. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of power input in discharge space, enhanced laser efficiency, simplified shape of discharge electrodes. 2 cl, 2 dwg
