FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises mounting cooled tubes on structural units of housing, filling near-tube space with refractory concrete, and its drying. When structural units are mounted, additional cooling tubes are put in and near-tube space is filled with refractory concrete at the same time all around the shaft perimeter in several vertical steps using stepwise mounted formworks. Concrete is dried on blowing hot gas or steam into cooling tubes, while simultaneously ventilating interior of the furnace. Drying conditions are controlled by varying temperature and steam or hot gas intake in proportion to specified temperature of concrete and by varying ventilation gas intake in inverse proportion to moisture content in gas in shaft outlet. Invention may be applied when manufacturing and repairing shaft furnaces. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
