FIELD: metallurgy, namely reconstruction and repairing of blast furnace casings. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of shutdown of blast furnace, demounting its main units, manufacture of new casing, mounting inside furnace suspended platforms, assembling new units and mounting them along height of furnace. Bed for assembling lower part of shaft and bosh extension is rested upon suspended platform and bearing structure of blast furnace. Before mounting lower portion of shaft and bosh extension, above mentioned bed is demounted and new crown is mounted at successively placing its both halves. Mounting beam is used for mounting lower portion of shaft, bosh extension and parts of new crown of furnace.
