FIELD: UHF and VHF radio communication antennas primarily used for moving objects, such as ships. SUBSTANCE: dipole has hollow arms, shunt, and coaxial feeder; longitudinal slots formed in hollow arms accommodate printed-circuit board with shunt and strip conductor so that metal arms of dipole function as shunt screen; connected to center of shunt is end of coaxial feeder braid; internal conductor of feeder is connected to feeder strips conductor end extended along one of shunt ends towards dipole center and connected to opposite arm of dipole. Uniform directivity patterns are experimentally obtained within 100-400 MHz range at traveling wave ratio higher than or equal to 0.4 in feeder with wave impedance of 75 Ohms. EFFECT: reduced size of dipole; reduced impact of dipole shunt currents on antenna directivity patterns within wide frequency range. 5 dwg
