METHOD FOR ELECTRIC-ARC PLASMA WELDING OF METALS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2111098 C1

FIELD: machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: plasma welding of metals is realized by means of normal-polarity electric arc. Steam is used as plasma generating medium. steam is generated directly in burner due to thermal energy of electric arc in nozzle-anode. Plasma jet is controlled by change of electric current of existing arc. EFFECT: high ecological parameters, lowered production cost due to use of steam as plasma generating gas. 3 cl, 1 dwg
