FIELD: electrical appliances. SUBSTANCE: electric range has annular insulating body made, for example, of ceramics. closed on top with cover, and mounted on baseplate. Cover and baseplate are made of aluminum. Heating element is installed in cover recess on spacer made of foil or heat-conducting material. Heating element and hold-down plate are attached to cover by means of fastening members. Brass or stainless-steel screen is fitted between hold-down plate and heating element. Insulating mount installed in body accommodates electric conductor connected on one end with plug and on other end, with heating element through wire leads. Mounting legs are secured to base. Heating element is self-contained solid vacuum-tight sintered block formed by bottom ceramic insulating plate carrying flat resistance unit in the form of flat coil applied thereon by using thick-film technique and provided with contact pads at ends. Resistance unit plate is covered with top insulating plate that has giving access to contact pads for connecting conductors to them directly or through flexible hold-down pieces. Mentioned conductors are connected also to plug or to plug connector. Plate is sintered with other plate for producing vacuum-tight block. Heating element is only about 4 mm thick. EFFECT: reduced thickness of heating element, improved reliability of electric range. 3 cl, 3 dwg
