FIELD: measurement technology; materials technology. SUBSTANCE: one of articles to be checked is selected as standard, and its composition is determined by one of known methods. Material of higher frequency of resonance oscillations is taken for single-phase material. Article similar in the form and size to articles being checked is manufactured of the above-indicated material. This done, isothermal measurements of oscillation frequencies of standard and articles similar in form and size and made of single- and two-phase material are performed. Composition of article under conditions of $$$ and $$$ is determined from correlations $$$ and $$$, where $$$ stand for volumetric concentration of phases of higher and lower oscillation frequencies of articles being checked and phase concentration of lower standard oscillation frequency, respectively, fraction; $$$ are resonance frequency oscillations of articles of higher-frequency material phase, articles being checked and standard, respectively, Hz.
