FIELD: cable manufacturing industry. SUBSTANCE: polymer composite material includes thermosoftening copolymer, soot carbon as current conductive filler and inorganic filler with dielectric permittivity $$$=150-15000 with total content of mentioned fillers amounting to 30-40 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of polymer and with content of each filler of 10 parts per 100 parts of polymer. Cake of barium titanate with specific surface not less than 2300 sq. cm/g is used as inorganic filler. Polymer composite material may be additionally joined by ionizing radiation. Mass of gel fraction amounts to 30-70 per cent with regard to mass of polymer. Polymer material may be additionally oriented at temperature exceeding melting temperature of unjointed material but below destruction temperature of joined polymer. EFFECT: enhanced electric insulation characteristic of material. 3 cl, 1 tbl
