FIELD: railway transport; control of shunting locomotive on gravity yards. SUBSTANCE: with locomotive moving, pulse appear across outputs of speed transmitter installed on wheel axle box. These pulses are delivered to inputs of first flip-flop. Proposed circuit compares time intervals at direct and inverse outputs of first flip-flop. Device has first and second speed transmitters, first , second and third flip-flops, first and second counters, first and second pulse shapers, comparator unit, generator, frequency divider and delay element. With locomotive moving forward, positive potential is set st output of second flip-flop, and zero potential remains at output of third flip-flop. EFFECT: reduced probability of wrong determination of direction. 2 dwg
